Morning everyone, wow it's beautiful here today, very spring like! Hope it is with you too.
I've got my card for this weeks challenge over at Less is More to share with you. It's one layer week and the theme is Leaves, come and see:
I hope this is classed under leaves, it's definitely not a flower!
Not a very good photo but I embossed the image with a coppery powder called Jasper.
Hello everyone, well we survived a weekend of celebrations for Charlie's 5th birthday! 🎁🎊🎂
We met Charlie from school on Friday and his reaction was a joy as he didn't know we were coming for the weekend!
We had a family dinner with a fabulous cake for afters which was a great hit with Charlie.
Paw Patrol was the theme and I made a twist and pop card for Charlie:
Hi everyone just realised it's been a month since I blogged but I've been busy making cards that I can't show yet!
I liked the sketch over at LIM this week so I thought I'd play along, come and see:
So today we have a sketch for you to get your teeth into over the week and in our fantastic, fresh and classy colour combo! Feel free to flip/rotate the sketch so long as we can see the elements of it within your card and do keep it CLEAN & SIMPLE as that's what we love! The sketch is below my card.
I used a freebie stamp to create lines across and the little bird is from Ultimate Crafts.
Next week is Charlie's 5th birthday so I'll be showing you the card I made for him. Weather looks awful this weekend so have a crafty one!
Afternoon everyone from a soggy, warmer day in Enfield! Such a difference in temperature we had to turn the heating off!
Decided to create a card for Darnell's NBUS ( never before used stuff! ) last week of her 3 week challenge. She showed us a bubblewrap and alcohol inks technique which was so good! I made several backgrounds but eventually used this on for my card.
The die is part of a collection from Tonic and not used before as was the bubblewrap, but I'm not sure that counts!
I seem to be back in the routine of blogging which was my New Year's resolution.
A very quick post as I saw a challenge called Rudolph days and I love making Christmas cards so thought I'd join in. When I decided what to do I realised it could be suitable for Darnell's NBUS challenge and I think I am just in time! Apologies for the photo it's a very miserable day here!
I used snowflake stamps that were free with Creative Stamping magazine and not been used before hence the Not Been Used Stuff acronym on Darnell's challenge. I also did a camouflage sentiment which is an optional theme. On Rudolph days anything goes as long as it's a Christmas card.
I had intended joining in Darnell's NBUS challenge but the week got away from me instead I was inspired this morning by the new challenge over at Less is More:
So it's Recipe week and we're looking for 1 or more balloons on your project. So I decided to use some freebie stamps from Creative Stamping magazine and thought it would make a Valentine's card for my OH.
Fairly self-explanatory but I liked the sentiment. I've had to stop my subscription to this magazine as you get so many stamps that I'm running out of space!
I had to make 2 sympathy cards yesterday and went with a freebie feather stamp and SU French Foliage set.
Temperature has gone up today and we actually had to turn the heating off for a while! Long may it continue.
Hi everyone I'm trying to keep my NYE resolution to be a better blogger and here I am with a couple of cards to show you.
We were in Ireland last weekend for my niece's wedding and I made a tealight card for the bride and groom. We were laughing at the photo I have of her and her sister at my wedding:
46 years apart!
We had a great time catching up with family and the wedding finished at 4am! Just about recovered :)
We have been invited to a neighbour's little boys 1st birthday on Sunday and here is the card I made which is a case of one I saw on Pinterest.
Loved this cute elephant which was made with different sized circles for body, head an feet and SU bauble punch for the ears.
We experienced a snowstorm this morning but it didn't settle and the rest of the day was cold and sunny. Hope you're all safe wherever you are!
Hi everyone it's me again, twice in a week after a long absence! I saw the latest challenge over at Less is More and thought I'd give it a go. The challenge is as follows:
It's back round to our Recipe week and we'd like to see you add DIMENSIONto your cards for this challenge.
I used Altenew vintage flower stamps with 3 shades of brown ink on cream hammered card and the sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers. I'm also entering the January challenge over at Stamping Sensations which is Coffee and Cream.
We are off to Ireland for a family wedding at the weekend so I'm hoping it won't be too cold!
Hi everyone I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to a brand new year!
We had a lovely Christmas eve with Charlie taking part in a Christingle service dressed as a king. Christmas day was lovely too we were knee-deep in toys! Unfortunately my menfolk were poorly and had been for several days so we came home early and several friends have now succumbed so we have postponed New Year's Eve for a couple of weeks!
I've been a very bad blogger lately but I seem to have lost the urge to post although I am cardmaking most days. I hope you'll bear with me and I do check through your posts and look at your wonderful creations even if I don't comment.
So just a few cards that I have been busy with:
Loved using the tattered lace snow globes especially for anyone with children.
Have to finish with a photo of a canvas that Jim got for his birthday :)
Hi everyone I'm back, I can't believe it's been 2 months since I've blogged! I've been crafting but haven't been motivated to blog although I pop in now and again to catch up on what's going on.
I've been pretty busy, we had a week at Center Parcs with the family before Charlie started school and then Jim and I had a fortnight in Tuscany relaxing, it was beautiful! We were staying near Lucca, our favourite town and we visited Florence and Pisa and lots of small medieval hilltop towns. the weather was perfect, 26 degs, no humidity and a gentle breeze.
Just back from Portsmouth celebrating my DiL's birthday, getting to take Charlie to school and looking after Phoebe.
Yesterday we spent the morning at Brands Hatch with Keir as he enjoyed his driving experience flying around in a Lamborgini and a Ferrari and then having a lovely lunch nearby a chance for an adult catch up :)
I thought I'd just share a few cards that I've made recently:
Sorry for my lack of commenting I'll try and visit you all soon :)
Hi everyone, I can't believe how fast the weeks disappear its been 6 weeks since my last post!
We were in Portsmouth this weekend for Phoebe's christening and it was a lovely day. She behaved beautifully and the weather was gorgeous.
Last weekend I was delighted to attend the inaugural Happy Little Stampers retreat and what a brilliant, crafty time we all had. Kylie had thought of everything and the sponsors were very magnanimous with their freebies! Hopefully this will be a yearly treat for us all.
August is a busy month for me with lots of family and friends birthday's so I have a few cards to show you:
The framed creation I did on Craft Artist for Phoebe's room.
Phoebe with her parents and godparents, she behaved beautifully!
A couple of cards this month, more to follow and our group photo from the craft retreat and a selection of cards that we produced!
